Demand to catch stray dogs, memorandum submitted

Jodhpur, 27 March (Hindustan Reporter). The menace of stray dogs in the city is increasing day by day. Every day, children are getting injured due to attacks and bites by stray dogs at many places. The Municipal Corporation is being negligent in catching stray dogs. The residents of the city have now come out on protest regarding this. On Wednesday, to get rid of the menace of these stray dogs, the city residents demonstrated in the Municipal Corporation and submitted a memorandum demanding the capture of the stray dogs.

In fact, cases of dog bites are coming to light every day in the city, but the action to arrest the dogs is limited to papers only. The number of stray dogs in the city is continuously increasing while the corporation is taking little to no action regarding animal birth control. These stray dogs are biting and injuring some child every day. Due to this there is an atmosphere of panic among the city residents. It has become difficult for people to get out of the house. He told that it has become difficult for children to go to school and even play outside the house. On March 21, Director of the Autonomous Government Department, Suresh Kumar Ola, had issued an order and issued guidelines to catch stray dogs of violent and stray nature, treat them and release them outside the populated areas. Despite this, no action has been taken yet under these orders. The responsible officials of the Municipal Corporation have not yet made any action plan to catch stray dogs. The residents of the city have now come out on protest regarding this.
