Amritsar: Sikh leader Gurjit Singh, in a memorandum given to Jathedar Raghbir Singh at the secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib on Monday, along with former Akali minister Prem Singh Chandumajra, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's wife Preneet Kaur, AAP spokesperson Malvinder Singh, held former minister Surjit Singh Rakhra responsible for the insult of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and demanded to call him to Sri Akal Takht.
Gurjit Singh has said in the manifesto that in the year 2008, on the occasion of the 300th Gurugaddi Divas centenary of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, all the above-mentioned leaders went to Dera Balwant Singh Sihoda and did not stop the insult of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. At the same time, on the orders of the Deradar, they also violated Sikh religious etiquette by applying a tilak on Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
Even at that time Singh Sahibans were requested to take action against him, but till date no action has been taken, hence he should be called to Sri Akal Takht Sahib and given severe punishment.
