New Delhi: Farmers have been agitating on the Shambhu border for 300 days, an application has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding that the road be removed from these farmers and other national highways of the country. On which hearing will be held on Monday.
It has been claimed in the petition that creating obstruction on the highway in this way is against the fundamental rights of the people. Also, it is an offense under the National Highways Act and the Indian Penal Code BNS. Therefore, those creating obstructions on the highway should be removed and action should be taken against them.
Farmers have been detained at Shambhu border since February and they are sitting on strike there.
A public interest litigation was filed in the Supreme Court on 7 November demanding his removal. Now the hearing of this case will be held on Monday. To stop the farmers at Shambhu border, Haryana Police has installed heavy barricades along with the road.
Earlier cement pillars were broken here. Due to which people are facing difficulty in commuting.
