Demand from Union Minister to make Farrukhnagar a sub-division

Gurugram, June 25 (HS). On Tuesday, a delegation from the area led by former Haryana Police officer Babulal Katiwal met Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh to demand the creation of Heritage City Farrukhnagar as a sub-division. They handed over a memorandum to him and strongly demanded the status of sub-division for the area.

Union Minister Rao Indrajit Singh assured the delegation that the area should get the status of sub-division. He has always been advocating for this. He will talk to Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini about this so that the historical city of Farrukhnagar can get the status of sub-division. He said that work will be done to speed up the development of the area. He thanked the people of the area for giving him victory in the Lok Sabha elections and will soon do a thank you tour.

In the letter submitted, former Haryana Police officer Babu Lal Katiwal, Nand Kishore Yadav, social worker Radhey Shyam Saini, Naresh Sharma etc. said that despite being a part of a world-class district like Gurugram in a progressive state like Haryana, historical blocks like Farrukhnagar are still untouched by the mainstream of development. Farrukhnagar block has played an important role in the independence of the country, the development of the district and the state. There are four blocks in Gurugram district – Farrukhnagar, Sohna, Gurugram, Pataudi. The government has given the status of sub-division and municipal corporation to blocks Pataudi, Sohna, Gurugram and even villages Badshahpur and Manesar in Gurugram district. Villages Kadipur and Harsaru have been given the status of sub-tehsil. Farrukhnagar, the historical city that emerged from the Mughal period in Gurugram district, has been deprived of the status of sub-division till now.
