necessary ingredients:
- Milk – 3 liters
- Dates – 3 bowls
- Jaggery – 1 bowl
- Rice – 3 spoons
- Mawa – 1 bowl
- Cardamom powder – one and a half teaspoon
- Chopped dry fruits – one and a half bowl
- Ghee – 3 spoons
This is the method:
– First of all boil milk in a vessel.
– Now heat one spoon of ghee in a pan and fry the dry fruits in it till they turn pink.
Take them out in a bowl and keep them aside. – Now take dates and separate their seeds.
– Add dates in the remaining ghee in the pan, sprinkle some water and cover and cook in steam.
– Now grind the dates coarsely in the mixer.
– When milk starts boiling, add rice to it and cook.
– Boil the milk until it reduces to half.
– After this add mawa in milk and cook.
– When the milk becomes thick, add jaggery to it as per taste.
– Now add coarsely ground dates in it and cook.
Finally add dry fruits to the kheer and taste it.
