Oath date of new Chief Minister of Delhi : Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi Marlena will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21 at 4.30 pm. Five cabinet ministers will also take oath along with her. On Tuesday evening, Arvind Kejriwal submitted his resignation to the Viceroy and Atishi claimed to form the government. Earlier, Atishi and the ministers did not receive the date of the swearing-in ceremony from the Lieutenant Governor's office and a situation of confusion arose.

Why the delay in announcing the date of the function?

Actually, if a Chief Minister resigns, his file is first sent to the President. After the President's signature, the file is sent to the Lieutenant Governor's office. Kejriwal's resignation file did not reach the Lieutenant Governor's office, which caused a delay in announcing the date.

These leaders will also take oath along with Atishi

Along with Atishi, cabinet ministers will also take oath. The names include Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Imran Hussain. New faces have also been included in the new cabinet. AAP MLA from Sultanpur Majra Mukesh Ahlawat will also take part in it. There are a total of six ministers in the Delhi government including the CM. Now five ministers will take oath along with the CM.

Kejriwal resigned on Tuesday

Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had chosen Atishi as his successor before resigning from the post of Chief Minister of Delhi on Tuesday. Atishi, who reached Raj Niwas on Tuesday, also claimed to form the new government. On Wednesday, the Lieutenant Governor sent both the proposals to the President for approval. In this, the LG also proposed to the President to administer the oath to Atishi on September 21. The file was also sent to the Union Home Ministry.

Atishi will be the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi

Atishi Marlena is going to become the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Before this, late Sheila Dixit and late Sushma Swaraj have held the post of Chief Minister. Kejriwal put forward the name of Atishi, who has handled many ministries in the Delhi government, in front of the party and everyone agreed with him.
