Delhi’s air is still becoming poisonous. The 24-hour average AQI at 7 am on Friday was 371. This morning, most parts of Delhi including the capital were seen wrapped in a blanket of smog and in many areas the air quality index crossed 400, which falls in the ‘severe’ category. Apart from this, the level of pollution in most areas remains ‘very bad’. Jahangirpuri is the most polluted with a 24-hour average AQI of 426 at 7 am.

According to CPCB data, the best AQI was of Lodhi Road which was 260. The areas where AQI has crossed 400 by 6 am include Anand Vihar (408), Bawana (409), Jahangirpuri (424), Mundka (401). Apart from Nehru Nagar (408), Shadipur (401) and Wazirpur (412), most areas had AQI between 340 and 400.
