In view of Delhi Assembly elections, Congress has made a big announcement for women. Congress on Monday launched ‘Pyaari Didi’ scheme for the women of Delhi. Under this scheme, women of Delhi will get Rs 2500 every month. Announcing the scheme, Congress leader and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that he will approve the scheme in the first cabinet meeting after coming to power.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that I have full confidence that the Congress government will be formed in Delhi and the ‘Pyaari Didi’ scheme will be implemented in our first cabinet. Women of Delhi will be given Rs 2500. He said that this scheme is on the same model which we had implemented in Karnataka.
On this occasion, Delhi Congress in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin said that the Congress party is first introducing guarantees related to social welfare and women empowerment for the upcoming assembly elections. He said that Congress has always been ready for social welfare and empowerment of women. Nizamuddin said that in Karnataka too, as soon as the government was formed, Congress had decided and implemented its social welfare scheme in the first cabinet. Therefore, Congress is necessary in Delhi for women empowerment.
