Delhi: Why should NGOs remain silent instead of shouting at petty issues in Kolkata massacre? : Dhankhar | News India

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has targeted NGOs over the Kolkata doctor rape-murder case. He said that the organizations that make noise over small incidents in the country are silent today. They are at peace today. But I want to show them that their silence is worse than the actions of the accused of this horrific crime. Speaking at a program at Akhil AIIMS Hospital in Rishikesh, the Vice President said that the Nirbhaya incident that happened in the country in 2012 had shaken the whole country. Now what happened in Kolkata is even more barbaric than that. Dhankhar said that the daughter of our country did not see day or night for the service of the public and the limit of passion was also crossed with her. There is a lot of anger in the whole country after this incident. We can understand the concern of the people associated with the medical field. Everyone is saddened by this incident.

There is only one solution to such incidents, harshest punishment: Dhankhar

On these incidents, the Vice President said that there is only one solution to this. Harsh punishment is the most stringent. He said that we will have to bring such a revolutionary, safe process that in future such an incident does not happen with any person or anyone else engaged in the service of humanity. There should not be any kind of danger to them. He further said that the society will also have to take responsibility and build a better society.
