New Delhi, 11 November (HS). The Supreme Court has refused to hear the bail plea of Gulfisha Fatima, accused in the Delhi violence conspiracy. A bench headed by Justice Bela M Trivedi directed the Delhi High Court to hear Gulfisha's bail plea on the next date. It also said that the hearing should not be postponed only in extraordinary circumstances.
Earlier, on March 16, 2022, Karkardooma Court of Delhi had rejected the bail plea of Gulfisha Fatima. Gulfisha has challenged the decision of Karkardooma Court in the High Court. Delhi High Court had issued a notice to Delhi Police in May, 2022. Since then Gulfisha's bail plea has not been resolved, after which Gulfisha Fatima has filed a writ in the Supreme Court under Article 32.
