Delhi Rain: XUV drowns in water filled railway underpass in Faridabad, manager-cashier die tragically | News India

Due to heavy rains throughout the day on Friday, the old railway underpass in Faridabad was flooded. Due to which a car drowned and two youths riding in it died. The deceased have been identified as Punya Sharma and Viraj.

The underpass was flooded due to heavy rain

The two were returning home late at night when the underpass was flooded due to heavy rains. To deal with the situation, the police deployed a rider near the underpass, who was preventing the drivers from entering. Still, an XUV700 sped towards the underpass. The police claim that they were stopped from entering the car, but the people in the car did not listen to it. As soon as the car entered the underpass, it got filled with water and the car started sinking.

Two people trapped in the car died

Seeing the incident, the people nearby immediately rushed to the spot for rescue. They got into the water and started trying to take out the two people trapped in the car. One of the youths in the car died on the spot, while the other youth was later taken to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. After a lot of effort, people pulled out the car with the help of a rope. There was a lot of anger among the people after this accident. They say that it rains every year, there is waterlogging every time, but the administration does not take any steps for safety. Due to which accidents keep happening every day.
