Political uproar is still being seen in the Lok Sabha over Rahul Gandhi's foreign trip. Now Chittorgarh MP and former Rajasthan BJP state president CP Joshi has demanded cancellation of the Congress leader's passport. For this, he has also written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
BJP leader in hot water
Talking to ANI, BJP MP CP Joshi said that any person in the country can go anywhere and express his views, he has the freedom to do so. But I want to ask Rahul Gandhi and Congress, tell me which world leader comes to India and talks about the security forces, farmers and backward classes of his own country?
letter to the speaker of lok sabha
He said who gave Rahul Gandhi the right to speak ill about our country? Either he should resign from the post of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha or the government should confiscate his passport. For this I have appealed to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
What did CP Joshi say?
In a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, BJP MP CP Joshi has said that as a responsible Indian citizen, Rahul Gandhi's statement on foreign soil is not justified in any way. The MP said that apart from internal stability and security of borders, Rahul Gandhi's statements can also affect international relations as the leader is misusing his position in the opposition.
Demand for resignation from the post of Leader of Opposition
MP CP Joshi has said in his letter that Rahul Gandhi's statements are not political, but directly fall under the purview of anti-national activities, which makes his conduct suspicious. Such baseless and tarnishing the image of the country cannot be seen under the purview of freedom of expression, in such a situation it becomes necessary for Rahul to resign from an important post like the Leader of the Opposition.
