New Delhi: AAP and Raj Niwas have once again come face to face over the delay in completion of 24 hospital projects and the increase in cost. A round of allegations and counter-allegations has started from both sides.
Kejriwal government gave priority to people's health
The statement said that at that time, the Delhi government was proactive in taking decisions and allocating resources to create thousands of ICU beds in the form of new hospitals and new hospital blocks. The Kejriwal government has always given priority to the health of its people, rising above budget constraints.
The LG secretariat hit back, alleging that 24 buildings were being constructed at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore under the pretext of Covid, the construction of which began in 2020 with a deadline of one year but are still far from completion.
5,000 crores needed every year
AAP alleged that Rs 5000 crore would be required every year to run these buildings as hospitals and no budgetary provision has been made for this. AAP said that Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj is writing a letter to LG to create posts for hospitals.
AAP alleged that the minister LG is reminded through written letters that UPSC should start the process of recruiting doctors and specialists on contract until the recruitment of specialist doctors is done on permanent basis.
LG is not starting the process by making excuses. LG Secretariat said that the minister should have started the process of creating posts for these hospitals instead of writing an absurd note to LG. The Service Department and LG have nothing to do with this.
