On one hand there is election atmosphere in the country and on the other hand the heat is also increasing. As temperatures continue to rise, the weather department has predicted that people who will come out of their homes to vote on April 26 will have to face extreme heat. According to the alert issued by IMD on Thursday, there is a possibility of heat waves and rain in parts of West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh during the next five days. IMD has issued a red alert for West Bengal and Odisha, while an orange alert has been issued for parts of Bihar and Karnataka. According to IMD, there will be hot nights in Odisha from 27 to 29 April. The Meteorological Department said that high temperature at night is considered more dangerous as it does not give the body a chance to cool down.
People of which state will face severe heat?
According to the Meteorological Department, due to high humidity, people of Tripura, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Assam, Meghalaya and Goa may have to face severe heat. On Friday, strong winds, light rain and thunderstorm are occurring in parts of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. People of these states can get temporary relief in the summer season. According to the Meteorological Department, this is the second round of heat wave. Heat wave conditions have been observed in the Ganga coastal areas in Odisha since April 15 and in West Bengal since April 17.
