Delhi News: Australia claims to have expelled two Indian spies in 2020

Two Indian spies were expelled from the country in 2020 for trying to steal classified information about Australia's sensitive defense projects and airport security, Australian media reported on Tuesday. 'The Australian' and 'The Sydney Morning Herald' report that two Indian spies have been expelled from the country. A report by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) did not specify the number of spies. There has been no response from Indian officials regarding Australian media reports. 'Indian spies were expelled from Australia after they were caught trying to steal classified information about the country's trade ties, in addition to classified information relating to sensitive defense projects and airport security,' ABC reports '

This has also been mentioned in a report by Washington Post.

A Washington Post report also states that two officials of India's spy agency RO were expelled from Australia in 2020 on spying charges. Now the ABC reports that Australian Security Intelligence Organization DG Mike Burgess mentioned the spy ring for the fifth time in 2021 in his annual review. But it did not mention which country's spies were laying the trap.
