New Delhi, 20 February (HS). The effect of rain and snow falling on the mountains was finally visible in the national capital. Delhi-NCR got drenched with rain several times during the night. India Meteorological Department says that light to moderate rainfall is possible in Delhi along with Punjab, Haryana and Western Uttar Pradesh on February 21. There may be rain in eastern Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh on 22 February.
Officials of India Meteorological Department say that a low pressure area has formed in the western Himalayan region. Westerly winds are blowing carrying moisture from the Arabian Sea. Due to the effect of these two, there is heavy snowfall in the high altitude areas of the hilly areas and rain in the plains. Due to this effect, there may be light rain in some areas and heavy rain in others in the next two days. There will also be snowfall on the mountains. There may be lightning in some areas. There is a possibility of drizzle along with thunder at some places.
