The Delhi High Court will give its decision today at 2:30 pm on whether Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will get bail or not. The Rouse Avenue Court had granted bail to Kejriwal on June 20, but the High Court had stayed the ED's petition on June 21.

Decision on Kejriwal's bail today

After hearing the arguments of both the sides on June 21, the High Court had said that we will give the decision by June 24-25. Till then the bail will remain suspended. On June 24, ED had filed a written reply in the High Court and said that granting bail to Kejriwal was illegal. ED's lawyer said that whatever important documents were placed before the vacation bench of the lower court, the bench did not consider it necessary to take cognizance of them. These documents had evidence that Kejriwal was fully involved in the money laundering case. According to ED, Aam Aadmi Party had a major share in the black money collected from the Delhi liquor scam. The vacation bench made a mistake by ignoring Kejriwal's role under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

At the same time, Kejriwal had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on June 23 against the High Court order. His petition was heard on Monday (June 24). The Supreme Court said that the High Court has not yet given its decision, so it would not be right to pass any order before that. We will have to wait a little. Justice Mishra said that the High Court has its own decision To keep safe This is unusual. Usually the decision in the adjournment petition is pronounced at the same time. With this, the Supreme Court has postponed the hearing till June 26. In the hearing held in the Supreme Court on Monday (June 24), Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vikram Chaudhary appeared on behalf of Kejriwal. Along with this, Solicitor General (SG) Tushar Mehta and Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju presented arguments on behalf of ED.
