Delhi Excise Policy Case: No relief to Manish Sisodia, custody extended till April 24 in CBI case

Rouse Avenue Court has extended Manish Sisodia's judicial custody till April 24 during the hearing of CBI case in Delhi liquor scam. Also, the court will hear the arguments on all the allegations made in the charge sheet on the same day.

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia reached Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court for interim bail. The interim bail petition was filed on the basis of Lok Sabha election campaign. Former Delhi Deputy CM Sisodia has moved the Rouse Avenue court for interim bail in both ED and CBI cases to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. The court will hear the AAP leader's petition at 2 pm.

Rouse Avenue Court had imposed fine on Manish Sisodia in money laundering case.

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was in jail for the last one year in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case, did not get relief from the court even before. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court refused to grant him bail and extended his judicial custody till April 18.

Manish Sisodia is lodged in Tihar jail since 26 February 2023.

Due to which AAP leaders received huge amount as bribe. Earlier on April 2 also, hearing on the bail application of Manish Sisodia was held. Meanwhile, he told the court that there is no point in keeping him in jail because the ongoing investigation against him has ended.
