Prime Minister Narendra Modi met and interacted with the 2024 winners of the Prime Minister’s National Child Award in Delhi on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas on Thursday. He said that empowering the youth is the top priority of the government.
President Draupadi Murmu honored 17 brave children in the Bharat Pavilion. Recalling the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of the Sahibzadas on Veer Bal Diwas, the Prime Minister said that their sacrifice and bravery is an excellent example of commitment to one’s values. He also remembered the bravery of Mata Gujri Ji and Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Prime Minister said that 26th December is the day when our Sahibzadas sacrificed their lives at a young age. Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh were young but their passion was at its peak. Sahibzadas rejected every temptation of the Mughal Sultanate and endured every oppression. When they were ordered to lay bricks on the wall, the Sahibzadas accepted it with complete bravery. Accepted to sacrifice his life but did not deviate from the path of faith. Veer Bal Diwas teaches us that no matter how dire the situation is, nothing is greater than country and homeland. Every work done for the country is bravery.
Organization of ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue’ in 2025
Prime Minister Modi also said that I had said from the Red Fort this year that I want to bring into politics those one lakh youth of the country whose family members are not active in politics. This beginning is very important for the next 25 years. I would ask our youth to be a part of this campaign, so that a new generation can emerge in the politics of the country. With the same idea, ‘Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue’ is also being organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in the beginning of next year i.e. in 2025.
