Mumbai: A 12-year-old girl was kidnapped, raped, murdered and her body was dumped near the wall of Bapgaon cemetery in Kalyan. In this case, the police have arrested three people including the main accused Vidhi Gawli. Another person is still absconding. Police is investigating. In this case too, like the Badlapur case, there is anger among the people and there is a demand for encounter of the main accused.
After this incident in Kalyan, the local people of Kalyan East have expressed a lot of anger. Many local people took out a protest march and held banners and placards demanding strict action against the accused.
In this case, the Deputy Commission said that a 12-year-old girl was kidnapped at around 4 pm on Monday evening. When she left home to buy goods at the shop.
However, when the girl did not return home till late evening, the family started searching for her. Even after a search of eight-nine hours, no trace of the girl was found. So the family contacted Kolsewadi police station. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case of kidnapping in this matter and conducted further investigation.
On Tuesday, the second day of the kidnapping, at around 10 am, his body was recovered from the wall of the cemetery located at Bapgaon between Kalyan-Bhiwandi. The motive behind the murder in this case is not yet clear.
The post mortem report in this case is awaited and if rape of the girl is confirmed then other legal provisions will also be added against the accused in this case.
In this case, this morning the police arrested the main accused Vishal Gawli from Shegaon of Buldhana. The police has also seized the autorickshaw used in the incident.
The main accused Gawli was a resident of Kolsewadi and had several criminal cases registered against him in the past, including property related offences. Recently he came out on bail. So his hooliganism was going on in Kalyan East.
According to the initial investigation of the police, accused Gawli has been married three times, hence why he was mentally disturbed is also being investigated. After the murder, his third wife helped him dispose of the girl’s body. Therefore, seeing the involvement of Vishal’s third wife in this crime, she was arrested on Kalyan. Another person was also arrested.
Furthermore, the police have examined the CCTV footage in this case and further investigated whether other people are also involved in the crime. Therefore, the police investigated the case from every aspect.
Meanwhile, a former municipal servant from Kalyan alleged that no action is being taken against the main accused in the case as he is getting political support. Therefore, the local people are demanding the encounter of Gawli like Shinde, the main accused of Badlapur in this case.
