Bhopal, May 22 (HS). To promote indigenous innovations, research and technology development in the defense sector, Defense Innovation and Development Wing will be established in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal. This will also create employment opportunities. For this, a contract has been signed between Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Council (MAPCOST) and Territorial Army Innovation Cell on the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
Giving information on Wednesday, the Director General of the Council, Dr. Anil Kothari said that the Defense Innovation and Development Wing promotes indigenous innovation, research and technology development in the defense sector. With its establishment, Bhopal will become a center of defense innovation and will help in socio-economic development and infrastructure development in the region.
He informed that through the wing, efforts have been made to create a conducive environment for innovation and progress with the support of key partners including educational institutions, government bodies, startups, industries and the Territorial Army. Along with this, Defense Research and Development Center will be established in Bhopal, which will become a center of innovation and cooperation for defence.
A dedicated AI lab will be set up in Bhopal, which will work on research and development in the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics, command and control, information. Which will develop mission-critical solutions for the army. A talent development program will be started, which will develop the skills of individuals interested in the technical projects of the army. This program will include training, workshops and guidance opportunities. Apart from this, collaboration and knowledge sharing with industry partners will be promoted, under which workshops and seminars will be organized. A collaboration platform will be developed to share ideas, knowledge and resources of stakeholders. This platform will be accessible to researchers, industry experts and the army.
To achieve the goals of Defence Innovation and Development Wing, Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Territorial Army Innovation Cell and Rajiv Gandhi Technology University will play a vital role in running this wonderful initiative.
