Deepti Sharma reaches career best second position in ICC ODI bowlers' rankings

New Delhi, 29 October (Hindustan Reporter). Indian off-spinner Deepti Sharma on Tuesday moved up two places to a career-best second position in the latest ICC Women's ODI rankings for bowlers.

T Deepti has been one of India's best players in the first two matches of her team's ongoing white-ball series against New Zealand on home soil. Deepti has taken three wickets at an economy rate of 3.42 in two matches against the White Ferns.

This has gained Deepti two places and moved her to second place in the table, and the senior India spinner has overtaken England's tweaker and Sophie Ecclestone.

Apart from this, New Zealand trio Lee Tahuhu (up three places to 12th), Emily Kerr (up one place to 13th) and Sophie Devine (up nine places to 30th) have moved up the rankings.

Devine (up three places to eighth) and Kerr (up one place to 11th) also made some gains in the latest list of ODI batsmen, along with compatriots Suzie Bates (up two places to 15th) and Maddy Green (up seven places). 18th above) have taken the lead after some good scores against India.

Indian right-handed batsman Jemimah Rodrigues (up three places to 30th) has also moved up in the rankings.

In the latest list of ODI all-rounders, Deepti has moved up one place to third and Divine has moved up two places to seventh.

Some players from Zimbabwe have also made gains in the rankings. Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano has moved up 21 places to 28th in the batting rankings, while her teammate Josephine Nkomo has moved up 13 places to 32nd in the ODI bowlers' list.
