Star archer Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Priyansh's pair has reached the final of the compound mixed team event of the second stage of the Archery World Cup. Deepika Kumari made a brilliant comeback and made it to the last-4 of the individual recurve event. The compound women's team had reached the final on Wednesday itself. Jyoti, Parneet Kaur and Aditi Swami won the first medal for India. Young archer Prathamesh Phuge also reached the semi-finals of the individual category. The Indian compound mixed team, ranked second in the world rankings, lost just two points in 17 arrows to defeat the host country's Han Seungyon and Yang Jaewon with a score of 158-157. Earlier, Jyoti and Priyansh defeated Vietnam with a score of 159-152. In the quarter-finals, they defeated Mexico by a margin of one point with a score of 156-155. After defeating Tinkara Kardinar of Slovenia in the shootout in the first round, Deepika continued her campaign by defeating Vietnam's Lok Thi Dao 6-2, France's Lisa 6-0, Turkey's Elif Bera Gokir 6-4. In another individual match of the recurve category, Bhajan Kaur lost in the first round. Ankita Bhakat's campaign ended in the second round.
