Death toll in Nepal bus accident reaches 27, Union Minister Raksha Khadse will come to Kathmandu to receive the bodies – News India Live | News India

Kathmandu, 23 August (HS). The death toll due to the bus carrying Indian tourists from Pokhara to Kathmandu falling into the river has reached 27 so far, while 16 seriously injured people have been brought to Kathmandu.

There were 43 people in the bus including the driver and co-driver. This bus fell into the Marsyangdi river near Abukhaireni in Tanahun district this morning. All of them were residents of Jalgaon and Bhusaval in Maharashtra. Many of the dead are from the same family. Minister of State for Youth and Sports Raksha Khadse of the Government of India will reach Kathmandu tomorrow morning to meet the injured and take the bodies with her. She will first meet the injured admitted in the hospital in Kathmandu. After that she will go to Pokhara and take the bodies with her and leave for Jalgaon by a special plane.
