Jhansi, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter). A middle-aged man and his wife, who were returning after performing the last rites of their father-in-law, died in a road accident in Baragaon police station area. Both were riding a bike and were returning back to Jhansi. A truck coming at high speed hit him from the front. The wheels of the truck ran over them. Due to this both of them died on the spot. There was chaos in the family due to three deaths in one day. The police took both the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem.
Rajendra Patel (55), resident of Pal Colony, Sipri Bazar, was originally a resident of Somai village of Jalaun. His nephew Pramod Kumar told that uncle Rajendra's father-in-law had died on Tuesday. Uncle had gone to Govardhanpura village to attend the funeral. He told that aunt Lata Patel (52) had also gone with his uncle. After the funeral, both of them were returning home by bike in the evening. When they reached near Baratha Cut on Kanpur Highway, a truck coming at high speed hit the bike. Rajendra Patel and his wife Lata Patel died on the spot in the accident.
People nearby gathered after the accident. After this the police was informed. Police came to the spot and investigated. After this the family members were informed. The family members reached the spot crying. Postmortem of both the bodies is being done after filling the Panchnama on Wednesday. After the accident, the police seized the truck and detained the driver. The family members are in bad condition and crying.∪
