According to the information, the DTC bus was coming from Math to Ring Road at around 10 pm on Monday night. The speeding bus collided with a huge iron pillar near the ashram. A person standing near the pole got hit by it, due to which he died on the spot.
The bus collided with the barricade and then climbed the divider.
DTC driver Vinod did not stop the bus there but took it for about 100 meters and constable Victor posted at the barricade also collided with this iron pillar, due to which he died on the spot. After the accident, the driver of the DTC bus was driving the bus in which the bus got stuck on an iron pillar and collided with the police barricade and then the bus climbed on the divider.
Necessary legal action is being taken regarding this road accident
Delhi Police said- FSL team is present at the spot outside Monastery Market on Ring Road. Police have taken DTC bus driver Vinod Kumar (57) into custody. He is a resident of Ghazipur. The police team found that the bus was in a bad condition and there were no passengers in the bus except the DTC DO. Necessary legal action is being taken regarding this road accident.

Earlier on October 28, a speeding DTC electric bus had hit a car in Vikaspuri area. More than five vehicles were damaged in the accident, while a pedestrian was injured. After the incident, there was a massive traffic jam in the area for hours. The police have detained the driver and seized the bus.
