Due to the strong storm and rain on Sunday and Monday (March 16), trees and walls fell at many places. During this period, three people have lost their lives in different accidents. The Meteorological Department (IMD) still continues ‘Orange Alert’ in 40 districts for the next 24 hours.

Saharanpur (2 deaths): Here, due to the storm, an old tin shed suddenly blew down and fell. Due to this, two friends including a former head died on the spot. Both were standing under the shed to protect themselves from the rain.

Bijnor (1 death): Due to strong winds in Najibabad area of ​​Bijnor, the wall of a crusher collapsed. A 30-year-old youth (Shivam), who was sleeping nearby, lost his life after being buried under the debris of the wall.

Double blow on farmers: huge damage to crops

Rain and hailstorm have dashed the hopes of the farmers of western UP.

Wheat and Mustard Crops: Due to strong winds, the prepared wheat crop has been scattered in the fields.

Mango orchards: Due to the storm, mango blossoms have fallen, due to which the gardeners fear huge losses this year.

Weather Forecast for the next 48 hours

According to the Meteorological Department, due to two western disturbances being active one after the other, the weather is likely to remain bad till March 21.

16-17 March: Warning of rain and hail with thunder and lightning in 42 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
