Dead body of owner found in crane cabin, police investigation started

Meerut, 14 May (HS). The dead body of the owner was found in the cabin of a crane parked on NH-58 of Daurala police station area on Tuesday. Police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem and have detained the driver and operator of the crane and started questioning them.

Deepak, a resident of Etah, was going to Roorkee in Uttarakhand with his crane on Tuesday. There was also a driver and operator in the crane. After parking the crane in front of Bhagwati College on NH-58 in Daurala police station area, Deepak started resting with his driver and operator. The owner Deepak was sleeping in the front part of the crane and the driver and operator were sleeping in the rear part. When the driver and conductor woke up on Tuesday evening, they called out to the owner Deepak, but Deepak was lying dead. After which the crane driver informed the police.

As soon as the police got information about the matter, they reached the spot, detained the driver and sent Deepak's body for post-mortem. During police interrogation, the driver and operator of the crane told that they had gone from Faridabad to Roorkee with the crane. During this time, they had an argument among themselves over a trivial matter. After some time, the matter was settled and everyone started taking rest after reaching Daurala area. During this time he fell asleep.

According to Daurala police station in-charge Uttam Singh Rathod, information has been given to the relatives of the deceased. Further action will be taken after the post mortem report comes.
