Bhagalpur, 2 December (HS). The body of a middle-aged man was recovered from Kirankol Bahiyar of Peerpainti police station area of the district on Monday. The miscreants murdered and threw the body in the corn field of Diara area. After getting information about the incident, hundreds of people from nearby reached the spot.
This morning, a farmer who had gone to plow his fields saw the dead body and people informed the police. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. The deceased has not been identified. It is being told that the deceased is a resident of Purnia. It is suspected that the miscreants murdered him with a sharp weapon after making him drink alcohol. The motorcycle of the deceased was recovered at a distance of 100 meters from the spot. Police have also recovered a pad of a woman from near the dead body. People have also expressed suspicion that he was murdered due to an affair with some woman. At present the police reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
After getting information about the incident, Kahalgaon SDPO also reached the spot, where he informed the family about the incident through the bike number.
