Firozabad, 02 April (HS). The body of a girl was found in a canal on Tuesday near Bada village under Jasrana police station area. The girl could not be identified. The police have sent the body for post-mortem.
Jasrana police station received information on Tuesday that the body of a girl was floating near the Bada village canal of the police station area. As soon as the information was received, area officer Shyamjit Singh, police station in-charge Anjeesh Kumar Singh along with police force reached the spot. A crowd of villagers gathered here on the news of the dead body being found. With the help of the villagers, the police took out the body and tried to identify it. But identification could not be done. The girl may have committed suicide or died due to some other reason. This will be known only from the post mortem report. At present, the police have started investigating the case along with identifying the body.
Police station in-charge Anjeesh Kumar Singh said that the age of the girl is between 18 to 20 years. Efforts are being made to identify the body. Post mortem of the body is being conducted to know the cause of death. Efforts to identify the dead body are ongoing.
