Famous Kannada film director Guruprasad was found dead in his flat in Bengaluru on Sunday morning, 3 November. Guruprasad, the director of films like 'Adelu Manjunath' and 'Director's Special', was 52 years old. Police suspect that he committed suicide two-three days ago.

According to him, the neighbors last saw Guruprasad five-six days ago. It seems that he hanged himself that very day. He was in financial trouble, so he committed suicide. “We are investigating the time and circumstances of his death,” he said.
