Dead bodies of a woman and child found with their neck cut in the bushes near Ramganga river, not identified.

Moradabad, 17 October (HIST). The bodies of a woman and a seven-year-old child with their necks cut were found among the bushes in an empty field near the Ramganga river at Kalyanpur locality of Katghar police station area on Thursday evening at 7.30 pm. As soon as the information was received, police station in-charge, forensic and SOG team reached the spot and collected evidence and interrogated the nearby people. Apart from this, the police also tried to get the two bodies identified from the nearby people gathered at the spot, but they could not be identified. Both the bodies were taken into possession and sent for post-mortem.

Police station in-charge Sanjay Kumar says that today at 7.30 pm, information was received about the dead body of a woman and a child lying among the bushes in an empty field near the Ramganga river in Kalyanpur locality of Katghar area. When we reached the spot, we saw that the woman's neck was lying separated from her torso. Prima facie it seems that the dead body is eight to 10 days old. The dead body of the child was also found with its neck cut. A lot of efforts were made for identification. Both have not been identified yet. Identification is being done by sending photographs to the nearby police station.
