Ramgarh, August 28 (HS). DDC Robin Toppo inaugurated the tree plantation campaign under Namami Gange scheme in the district on Wednesday. DDC started the campaign “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” from Upgraded High School Kaitha and Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential School Ramgarh. The aim of the campaign is to promote awareness towards environmental protection. On this occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner, District Education Officer, District Project Officer, Namami Gange, Principals of schools, teachers, students and other employees participated in this tree plantation campaign with great enthusiasm.
The DDC informed that 100 schools of Ramgarh district have been selected under the campaign. 10 trees are being planted in each school, a total of 1000 trees. This initiative is not only important for the protection of the environment, but it is also an effort to make the students aware about environmental protection. Another important aspect of the campaign is that every 5-6 students have been assigned a tree. Which they will take care of themselves. This will play an important role in teaching them a sense of responsibility and encouraging their love for the environment. On this occasion, the students planted trees as well as took an oath to protect them. This campaign will not only promote greenery in Ramgarh district, but will also prove to be helpful in providing a better and healthier environment for the coming generations.
