Moradabad, May 23 (HS). Under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA), the Under-16 Inter District Cricket League match was held on Thursday at the ground of IFTM University Moradabad. At the inauguration of the league, UPCA selector and former Ranji player Ali Murtaza was present as an observer and observed the finer details of the players.
Secretary of District Sports Association Moradabad and former Ranji player Vijay Gupta said that on the inauguration of Under-16 Inter District Cricket League, the first match was played between DSA Moradabad and DSA Rampur. He further informed that DSA Moradabad won the toss and batted first and scored 313 runs by losing 1 wicket in the stipulated 45 overs match. Chasing the target, DSA Rampur was all out after scoring only 84 runs in 23.4 overs. Thus DCA Moradabad defeated DCA Rampur by 229 runs.
UPCA nominated umpires in the match were Amit Verma and Rahul Singh and scorer was Bhushan Mishra. DSA Secretary Vijay Gupta, Joint Secretary Nitin Gupta, Cricket Coach Badruddin Siddiqui, Sports Director Dr. Vebhav Trivedi, Finance Officer Dr. Kushal Pal Singh, Mohammad Hasin, Alam Khan, JP Singh and other coaches were present during the match.
