In this season of IPL, questions are being raised on many decisions of the umpires. All decisions from no ball to wide ball have been controversial. A new controversy broke out in the match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on Wednesday. Actually, questions are being raised regarding the catch taken by Noor Ahmed of Prithvi Show.
Prithvi Shaw was out in the fourth over.
The entire incident happened in the fourth over. When Sandeep Warrier bowled the fifth ball of the over, Prithvi pulled it towards square leg. However, fielder Noor Ahmed standing near the boundary immediately showed agility and took a brilliant catch by diving. The catch was then reviewed, in which the umpire deemed it to be a clean catch. In this way Prithvi had to return to the pavilion after scoring 11 runs.
Why were questions raised?
Questions are being raised on this catch of Noor Ahmed. It is being said that when Noor took the catch, the ball hit the ground. Thus, it was not a clean catch and Prithvi Shaw should have been declared not out. However, the umpire accepted that Noor's fingers had touched the ground and not the ball. Also, Noor was in complete control while taking the catch. Therefore the Prithvi show was declared out.
Prithvi Shaw has increased the tension of Delhi Capitals
Let us tell you that Prithvi Shaw has been struggling with bad form for some time. Due to which the tension of Delhi Capitals has increased.
