Deepti's talent was first recognized by PT teacher Gopichand in a school meeting. He asked the teacher to send Deepti to him in Secunderabad. They were told that Deepti did not have money to pay the bus fare. He spoke to the conductor and called Deepti to Hyderabad and later paid the bus fare to the conductor. Gopichand's organization is sponsoring Deepti.
