Chandigarh, 4 November (HS). Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini inaugurated the third book fair organized in Panchkula on Monday. On this occasion, he also inaugurated Sardar Patel libraries built in village Arunay of Kurukshetra district, Bada village of Karnal and village Madana of Jhajjar through video conferencing. The Chief Minister said that our culture and heritage is available in books. Darkness in life can be removed only by the light of knowledge. The objective of this book fair is also to increase our knowledge. Today, if we read even one book, that book will only light the lamp.
Naib Singh Saini said that thousands of books in different languages are available in this fair. Looking at the public participation of the people present here, it becomes clear how important books are. People who are interested in any subject can get information from the books available in this fair.
He said that Uttar Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation has opened more than 25 libraries in the last three years under the CSR scheme. Even today three libraries have been inaugurated, which are a source of inspiration for other departments. Naib Singh Saini said that the BJP government has promised to provide 2 lakh jobs to the youth of the state. District level libraries are already available at the district headquarters. Now digital libraries are being upgraded in colleges and schools.
He said that libraries are being opened in the villages by the government. Computer arrangements are also being provided in these. Online arrangements and e-books are also being made available. Youth can get information about their subject online. He said that for the last 10 years, youth in the state have got jobs without any expense slips. Due to this, the atmosphere of the youth of the state has changed. Now the youth of the state are preparing by going to libraries instead of searching for recommendations.
On this occasion, Kalka MLA Shaktirani Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Department AK Singh, SEIAA Chairman PK Das, UHBVN Managing Director Dr. Saket Kumar, former Assembly Speaker Gyan Chand Gupta, Chief Minister's Political Advisor Bharat Bhushan Bharti and BJP District President. Deepak Sharma and other dignitaries were present.
