Damoh: Lok Sabha election bugle sounded, model code of conduct implemented

Damoh, March 16 (HS). As soon as the Election Commission of India announced the Lok Sabha elections, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the country. There are total four phases of elections in Madhya Pradesh and the festival of elections is going to end in Damoh parliamentary constituency on 26th April. Counting of votes will take place simultaneously at all places on June 4. Our concrete preparations for voting and counting are going on continuously and we have started finalizing it in a phased manner soon and work on it is going on continuously. Elections are the topmost priority of the administration, our focus will be on that and the district administration and police administration will work together for the same.

Collector and District Election Officer Sudhir Kumar Kochhar said this during a conversation with the media on Saturday. On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Shrutikirti Somvanshi, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Arpit Verma, Additional Collector and Deputy District Election Officer Meena Masram and media persons were present.

District Election Officer Kochhar said that I would like to appeal to the people and voters of Damoh region through the media that the festival of democracy has once again come to our doorstep. It is the duty of all of us voters to participate in this festival in maximum numbers and exercise our franchise. This franchise is the biggest means of strengthening democracy. Collector and District Election Officer Kochhar said that the election process will be completed on June 06. Notification from today 16 March, date for nomination from 28 March, date for nomination 04 April, scrutiny date for nomination 05 April, last date for withdrawal of nominations 08 April, voting on 26 April and counting of votes will be completed on 04 June and 06 June The election process will be completed by 2024.
