Damoh-Collector Kochar imposed financial penalty on the officers, action was taken for not resolving the complaints on time

Damoh, May 28 (HS). When the Madhya Pradesh government has set a time limit for any complaint, then it becomes mandatory to resolve them within the time limit, but despite this, there are officers who do not seem serious about the complaints made in the CM helpline, the District Magistrate has tightened the noose by imposing fines on such officers of the district and has also warned them not to make the mistake in future otherwise this punishment can be many times more than now.

In fact, Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar in Damoh has imposed a fine of Rs 13,700 on 33 officers of 16 departments at the rate of Rs 100 per complaint for non-resolution of 137 complaints on CM Helpline portal in the month of April 2024 by L-1, L-2 officers as a result of non-resolution of complaints found to be unresolved within the time limit and disregard of the instructions issued by senior offices.

In this regard, he said that the officer should deposit the said fine amount in the office of Public Service Management Department Damoh (Room No. 72 Collectorate) within three days and obtain the receipt of the Red Cross Society or deposit it in the bank account of Red Cross Society Damoh and submit the receipt in this office. He has ordered that there should be no recurrence of complaints remaining unresolved.

It is noteworthy that the state government is operating CM Helpline 181 to resolve citizens' complaints in a quality and satisfactory manner. L-1/L-2 officers have the main responsibility to resolve complaints received from citizens on the CM Helpline 181 portal. Adequate training has also been provided by the Public Service Management Department regarding quality and satisfactory resolution of complaints. Along with this, instructions have also been issued from time to time. Even after the above training and instructions, complaints received on the CM Helpline portal are found to be unresolved.
