Damdami Taksal’s support to BJP: Damdami Taksal is in trouble for supporting BJP in Maharashtra Assembly elections. On one hand, Damdami Taksal is being heavily criticized on social media, while on the other hand, many Sikh parties are also opposing the decision of Damdami Taksal chief Harnam Singh Dhumman. The situation has become such that Harnam Singh Dhumman has become isolated in the Sikh community.

In fact, during the elections in Maharashtra, it has come to light that Damdami Taksal supported BJP. In this matter, Jathedar of Takht Damdama Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh said that the decision to give unconditional support to BJP is not right and “unconditional support should not have been given.”

Giani Harpreet Singh said that despite the announcement, the captive Sikhs were not released. Now in the case of Chandigarh, Punjab’s rights are being snatched away. Earlier, Shiromani Akali Dal had also given unconditional support to BJP, but despite the BJP government at the center for the last 11 years, the issues of Sikhs and Punjab have not been resolved.

Similarly, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Delhi unit president Paramjit Singh Sarna said that the nation’s sentiments are attached to Damdami Taksal and the current chief of Damdami Taksal Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa has given unilateral support to BJP in Maharashtra elections. This is an insult to the Sikh community. He alleged that the BJP government has not yet resolved any issue of the Sikhs.

He said that by increasing the number of government members in the Takht Hazur Sahib Board, the Maharashtra government has snatched away the rights of the Sikhs. In such a situation, former president of Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala organization Balwant Singh Gopala and other organizations also opposed the decision of the head of Damami Taksal. Baba Harnam Singh Dhumman, the current head of Damdami Taksal, is also being criticized on social media.
