Dehradun, March 15 (HS). On the occasion of the launch of Sasha NGO, the premiere of the short film 'Dadi Intezaar Apno Ka' was shown in the auditorium of the Culture Department on Friday. The program started with the lighting of the lamp. At the same time, artists also gave cultural presentations.
This film is based on the true incident of Tarakeshwar, Uttarakhand. The story of the film has been written and directed by Krishna Bagot. The shooting of the film has been done in Uttarkashi and other places of Uttarakhand. Other actors of the film include Akki Rajput, Dev Rawat, Karan, Dr. Mahendra Rana, Yashodhar Prasad Dabral, Deepak Dev Sagar, Sapna Pandey, Ritika Payal Rana, Sangeeta Bahuguna, Abhishek Rawat, Suraj etc.
The story of this film shows how the hilly areas of Uttarakhand have become vacant due to migration. In the story, a family leaves their village years ago and goes to work abroad and leaves their parents alone in their village. After many decades, the old grandmother's grandson comes to visit Uttarakhand from abroad, then the deity in Tarakeshwar temple signals the grandson to go to his home. The grandson goes to his village and upon reaching the ruined house, he sees that his grandmother (who in the eyes of the villagers had died decades ago) was sitting in the house waiting for her family members. As soon as the grandson reaches his grandmother and the grandmother hugs the grandson, the old grandmother turns into a complete skeleton and falls heavily on the ground and this is where the film ends.
The activities of Uttarakhand have started with the launch program of Sasha Joy and Peace NGO. This NGO will provide health facilities to the people in remote areas of Uttarakhand in a better way.
