Araria, 04 September (HS). The family members of the late retired teacher and litterateur Nageshwar Prasad Madhup, an eye donor of Forbesganj, were honoured by the Body Donation Committee on Wednesday by organizing a tribute cum felicitation ceremony and presenting a certificate.
Pawan Mishra successfully conducted the program organized under the chairmanship of the District President of the Committee Ajatashatru Agarwal. It is worth mentioning that on the evening of 22nd August, retired teacher, journalist and litterateur Nageshwar Prasad Madhup, who was ill for a long time, died at his residence on High School Road. After which, on the initiative of District President of Dadhichi Dehdaan Samiti Ajatashatru Agarwal and enlightened people of the society, the elder son of the late teacher, senior journalist Pankaj Kumar Ranjit and his wife Rekha Ranjit and younger son Abhinav Raj and his wife living in Delhi agreed to donate the eyes of the late teacher. After which a team of doctors from Katihar Medical College Hospital reached the residence in Forbesganj at night and collected the cornea of the deceased's eye. The team of doctors from Katihar Medical College Hospital successfully completed the eye donation process. The consent given by the late soul Nageshwar Prasad Madhup along with his family members for posthumous eye donation under human service is being praised all around.
In the organized program, following the tradition of honoring the eye donor families and giving them certificates, the State unit of the committee, Ajatashatru Agarwal, President of the Araria district unit of the committee, Patron Bachhraj Rakhecha, Shivnarayan Das alias Bhanuji, Rajkumar Laddha, Engineer Ayush Agarwal, Pawan Mishra, Rahul Kumar Thakur etc honored the sons of eye donor Nageshwar Prasad Madhup, Pankaj Ranjit, Abhinav Raj and both daughters-in-law by presenting them with shawls and certificates. The letter of gratitude and honor received in the name of the family members from the State unit of the committee was read out for all.
On the occasion, retired teacher Khagendra Prasad Saha, retired SBI regional manager Rajiv Raman Saha, Kanhaiya Gupta, Shatrughan Yadav, Nageshwar Yadav, Bablu Kumar, Rahul Singh, Ashish Singh, Satish Anand, Saurabh Bose, Manish Pandey, Prashant Kumar Holi, Gaurav Kumar, Anupam Sagar, Mahavir Prasad and a large number of people present paid tribute by offering flowers on the photo of late Nageshwar Prasad Madhup.
