According to reports, Chhattisgarh government has given a big gift to its employees and pensioners by increasing the dearness allowance.

Chhattisgarh government has increased the dearness allowance of state employees by 4 percent. This step of Chhattisgarh government will benefit 3.90 lakh employees and 1.20 lakh pensioners. Giving this information, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh said that this increase will be effective from March 1.

With this step of Chhattisgarh government, the dearness allowance of government employees under the Seventh Pay Commission will increase to 46 percent. This decision of the government will entail an additional expenditure of Rs 816 crore annually on the government exchequer. This is being considered an important step of the Chhattisgarh government before the Lok Sabha elections.
