Hike: The state government can give the gift of DA and bonus to its employees before Diwali. According to highly placed sources in the government, the file related to this is being prepared. Around 8 lakh employees will get the benefit of bonus, while 15 lakh state employees and teachers will come under the purview of dearness allowance (DA) increase. DA will be increased from 50 percent to 54 percent. Its benefit will be calculated from the month of July. At the same time, bonus is calculated on the basis of basic salary and DA. Last year, state employees received about 7 thousand rupees as bonus. There is a provision to give bonus to non-gazetted officers.

Will take positive decision on ad-hoc teachers and Shiksha Mitras

On the instructions of the Legislative Council Chairman, a meeting was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Leader of the House and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya regarding the problems of teachers of Basic, Secondary and Higher Education Department. In this, a consensus was reached on taking a positive decision in the matter of salary, deployment of ad-hoc teachers and honorarium of Shikshamitras.

In the meeting, teacher MLA Raj Bahadur Singh Chandel and graduate MLA Devendra Pratap Singh talked about withdrawing the order of 9 November 2023 regarding ad hoc teachers of non-government aided secondary schools (aided colleges). Because after that decisions are being given by the court to pay salaries but the department is not giving any order on this. The Deputy Chief Minister asked how many such people are there. The teacher MLA said that only about 1200 people are left. This will not put a separate financial burden on the government. It was agreed to take a decision on this within a month.

In the meeting, the issue of not giving pension to regulated teachers under the order of 22 March 2016 was raised. The teacher MLA said that it was asked to add ad-hoc and qualifying services but it was not done. The Deputy Chief Minister asked the reason for this. It was also agreed to give a decision on this in a month.

In the meeting, teacher leaders raised the issue of vigilance investigation of 40000 teachers and employees from the year 1981 to 2020. It was said that whoever has a complaint should be called and questioned. All teachers and employees should not be unnecessarily harassed. It was also demanded that the Director of Education (Secondary) should also issue a letter in this regard. The MLC informed that the rules of service security, penal procedure, suspension, approval have not been made in the State Education Service Selection Commission. On this, the Additional Chief Secretary said that this rule is being made, in this, a consensus was reached on adding sections 12, 18 and 21 of the Selection Board Rules-1998.
