Lucknow, August 28 (HS). On Wednesday, the cyber crime cell refunded Rs 1,5,948 to a victim's credit card. The cyber team has appealed to people to be cautious of fraudsters.
Cyber cell in-charge Satish Kumar Sahu said that complainant Aditya Verma had lodged a complaint. He said that the fraudsters sent a link in the name of making a UPI card. By making him click on the link, taking the confidential information of the credit card and OTP, one lakh five thousand 948 rupees were withdrawn from his account. He complained about this matter to the cyber cell. Taking cognizance of the matter, the team worked on it and got the money lost in the fraud returned to the victim's account.
The cyber in-charge has appealed to the people to avoid giving credit and account confidential information on receiving a call from any unknown mobile number. Do not click on any unknown link without verification. Get the customer care number of any company or bank from its official website and call only after verifying it. Be cautious of such fraudsters.
