Customer's Rights: If the shopkeeper is not exchanging the damaged goods then take these steps, this is your right – News India Live

Many people buy a month's worth of goods at one go. When a person buys a product, he is not able to check it properly. Many times, when we check the goods after coming home, the goods are found to be damaged or defective. After this, when the person goes to exchange the goods, many shopkeepers flatly refuse to do so.

Today we are going to give you information about what your rights are. You have the right to return damaged goods. If a shopkeeper does not take back the defective goods, you can complain about it. According to the Consumer Protection Act, if a person finds an item not in good condition or damaged, he can return it to the shopkeeper in the same condition within 15 days.

In return, the person can demand a refund or a replacement product. If the shopkeeper refuses to do so, the person can call the consumer helpline number 1800-11-4000 and lodge a complaint.
