Jammu, May 25 (HS). Under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Professor Sanjeev Jain, students of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, ECE and ECE-Avionics of the Central University of Jammu visited Civil Airport Jammu. This educational visit was organized by Professor Rakesh Kumar Jha, Head of DOECE to provide practical information to the students about airport projects and operations, to enhance their understanding of real-world applications of their academic studies.
During the visit, the students of B-Tech Electronics and Communication and B-Tech Avionics gained detailed knowledge on various airport operations including communication systems, radar technology, navigation aids and security systems. The students also got an opportunity to interact with airport engineers and technicians and gain valuable insights about the technical and operational challenges faced in the aviation sector.
Professor Rakesh Kumar Jha, Head, DOECE, emphasized the importance of such visits in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. He said that this visit is an important step towards enriching the learning experience of our students by exposing them to advanced technologies and real-time problem-solving environment. The students also expressed their excitement and appreciation for the opportunity to see the practical implementation of their curriculum.
