CUET UG 2024: CUET application process started in hybrid mode for the first time, see the complete process here!

National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the online application process for CUET UG 2024 from Monday. For the first time, this exam will be conducted in hybrid format, allowing students from rural and remote areas to take the exam from the comfort of their homes. The examination for subjects with more than one lakh registrations will be pen-and-paper based, while for subjects with less registrations, the examination will be computer based. This time, students will have to select only 6 subjects instead of 10 and the entire examination process will be completed within 15 days, a change from the previous one-month period, which aims to reduce the stress of students.

Students registering for CUET UG 2024 will get free preparation on NTA Practice App. It involves evaluating the preparation of students through mock tests, helping them understand how to write answers effectively with the aim of reducing their dependence on coaching.

Change in exam pattern to reduce stress of students

CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 31. University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor M. Jagadish Kumar said that if the Lok Sabha election dates fall in between, there could be changes in the datesheet. Preparations for the examination have been completed and examination centers will be set up across the country. In areas where computer facilities are not available, the examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode.

Decision on subjects to be held in hybrid mode based on election dates

The subjects to be conducted in hybrid mode will be decided on the basis of three criteria: states with highest registrations, subjects with more than one lakh registrations and areas where availability of computers is limited. Is. This means that subjects with high student strength will have pen-and-paper exams in a single shift, with students allotted a center of their choice.

Only six subjects are to be examined.

This year, students will have to appear for only six subjects, in which two options will be available. For example, in the first option, there will be four domain papers, one language and one general test paper. The second option will have three domain papers, two languages ​​and one general test paper. Earlier, candidates had to choose from 10 subjects in CUET UG, but last year, very few students opted for all the 10 subjects.
