Crude reaches $ 87

Mumbai: Gold and silver prices rose in Mumbai's jewellery market today. The news from the world market was encouraging. Gold prices in the world market ranged from 2362 to 2363 to 2357 to 2358 dollars, 2349 to 2350 per ounce. Domestic prices also saw a rise following the world market.

In Ahmedabad Jewellery Market today, the price of gold rose by Rs 200 per 10 grams from 99.50 to Rs 74600 and from 74800 to Rs 99.90. In Ahmedabad, the price of silver was quoted at Rs 91 thousand per kilogram. In the global market, silver prices were at $ 30.20 to $ 30.27 to $ 30.28 per ounce after reaching a high of $ 30.58 per ounce from $ 30.44 to $ 30.45.

In Mumbai bullion market, the price of gold without GST was Rs 72179 at 99.50 and Rs 72269 at 99.90. Gold and silver prices in Mumbai were 3 percent higher with GST.

Meanwhile, platinum prices in the world market were at a high of $1002 to $1103 per ounce and $1017 to $1015 to $1016. Palladium prices fell from $1044 to $1045 per ounce but edged up from $1014 to $1032 and $1033. Global copper prices were up by 0.63 per cent today. Global crude oil prices rose.

Brent crude prices were at $86.34 a barrel, up from $87.12 a barrel. While US crude prices were at $82.87 a barrel, up from $83.69 a barrel. The American Petroleum Institute said crude oil reserves in the US have fallen by 9.1 to 9.2 million barrels.
