East Champaran, July 22 (HS). On the first Monday of the month of Shravan, a huge crowd of devotees gathered in all the Shiva temples across the district. An unexpected crowd of devotees gathered in Baba Someshwarnath temple in Areraj, which is called Kashi of Bihar, Baba Kesarnath temple in Kesaria and Baikunthdham temple in Bankatwa.
A large number of people from other districts of Bihar, as well as from UP and Nepal, reached the Manokamna Purohit Panchmukhi Baba Someshwarnath Mahadev Temple in Areraj with water from various holy rivers and performed Jalabhishek with chanting of Har Har Mahadev. Separate entry and exit gates have been made for men and women for the Jalabhishek. Along with this, along with tight security, the temple premises as well as the entire fair area are being monitored with hundreds of CCTV cameras. Along with drop gates, fixed gates, control rooms have also been made at dozens of sites. Magistrates and police force have been deputed in three layers.
For the convenience of the devotees, pure drinking water, mobile toilets, medical team have been arranged from the resting place to the entire city. The command of the fair is in the hands of Areraj SDO Arun Kumar and DSP Ranjan Kumar. For controlling the crowd and for the convenience of the devotees, along with 400 police force, more than 100 police officers, magistrates, apart from NCC and voluntary organizations have been deployed.
